We we doing poetry writing in that literature club thing I was going on about before and they had to rhyme with the word book, so one of the girls wrote down fook. I was a bit confused as to what she meant but then I saw the sentence was
The bed fook was nice. I asked her to saying that fook word and she whispered "Fuck". I was shocked at first but after 2 minutes found it hilarious.
Here's some random pics and shit.

Word up
Hey hey heyyyyy. Sooooo want to know what's up in the world of James? I bet you do. I bet that's why you're reading this. Well I'd hate to disappoint you of all people so here goes.
I've finished with me grade3 kids. Some are around school at different stages through the day but overall they're not really around anymore and I'm no longer their teacher. It's pretty sad. I'll surely miss 'em. I did get to have a bit of a laugh with a few of them today but I dunno if I'll get those chances everyday. We've split class 6 into 4 groups, and each group into 3 parts so I have 9 kids now instead of a class of 53.
We just do 3 classes a day adn tehn at the end of the day we do clubs then sports. So Stephen, Colm and I do the literature club (the other clubs are drama, music and art so don't think I'm too bent for doing lit). Today we did debating and it was actually hilarious. The motion was Boys are better than girls, so we let them choose the team they wanted, the 3 boys were for boys being better surprisingly joined by a girl and then 6 girls were on the girls are better side. The kids are about 12 years old, some maybe 13 some maybe 11. One of the funniest moments was after one of the girls said her point about boys not being faithful since they cheat on girls one of the boys stood up and said, "If a boy cheats on a girl, then who is the fool?". The same boy who stood up gave his point about boys being able to defend territorys of land and keep places safe, he went on to say how in Masai tradition the men kill lions for whatever reasons so Stephen (since he was helping the girls) pointed out that he wasn't a Masai and asked had he ever killed a lion and the wee kid wittily replied "I'll give you 30 seconds, go bring me a lion and I'll kill it".
Oisin always goes on about wanting to walk into the school from the main road since he feels like a white princess driving in. We drive down the path into the slum every schoolday, every morning we're driving through hundreds of people who are walking in the opposite direction out of the slum while on their way to work and they have to get out of the way for us which is quite bent. Well anyways since last week the rain had washed away some of the path and there had been a load of gravel dumped on the side of the path so it was very narrow to drive down. I've been shitting myself while we drive past that bit everyday for the last week but today my nightmare nearly became a reality. The front left wheel slid down a bit and the whole matatu(a van/bus) started leaning over. We all jumped over to the other side of the matatu and the driver tried twice to drive out of the predicament which was quite scary since he'd go forward, not make it and then slide back. After that we all had to carefully get out while the people who got out were putting their weight on that side of the matatu so it wouldn't end up toppling, just for safety, it probs wouldn't have. So with us all out and some help from locals who had been walking by (they quite dodgily went on the side that it would have fallen down on top of and pushed from there. I don't know whether they were being brave or stupid) our vehicle made it back onto the track and shaken but completely unhurt we all hopped back in and drove home.
Our confidence in our driver has left us a bit; yesterday on our way to school in the morning he pulled onto a roundabout and got hit in the side. Some people saw it coming quite early on and gave a scream what seemed like 4 seconds in advance, maybe it was but I doubt it could have been. Nobody was hurt but it was quite worrying for the people sitting on the righthand side of the car. The side of the car was dented a bit but overall fine. For the first while over here we thought drivers here were mad but then we got used to how close they come to hitting each other all the time and how often they pull out in front of each other. I think now we're a bit paranoid again.
I hadn't planned on putting up any pictures of my kids but here's a pic of Rosemary, me and about half of my class. Some of them don't really like getting their pictures taken. I hope if they ever see this they don't mind.
I have 2 pics crudely drawn so I'll throw them up in 2 or 3 days.

Couldn't give a shit about Amy Winehouse.
Not that I don't think it's sad for someone who cares about her that she died, just for nearly everybody in the world there's much sadder things in the news. I don't get why people who don't personally know her are upset that she died and they couldn't give a fuck or would rather not know about all the other horrible things going on and all the poor, nice, non-drug addicted people who are dying.
Started reading A clash of kings, which is the book to follow a game of thrones. It's good so far anyways.
No other news really.
My friendz need to do some blogs to inspire me to write some savage DOCS.

This sedative is a derivative of morphine, it should make you feel amazing (Yuss!)... And these 2 should send you straight to sleep (Nooo waiit- zZ zZ..).
It's 5am an I'm lying in my hospital bed typing with one hand and listening to the yelling from the nearby mosque; I think it's a call to prayer or something. Typing with one hand truely is a trek, drips are lame.
So I got some sort of food poisining or something from the water at these waterfalls we went to last weekend. It was still a class day jumping from the little jump. Tried 2 front flips, one too much rotation and face/chest landed it, the second one was just too slow and sorta assed the landing. This is clearly the slow one.
It was gas walking across the top of the waterfall, we all had to hold hands as we walked across since it was very slippy in places and impossible to tell how deep it was most of the time. We looked so bent. Especially since the locals walked across on their own.
If I were a girl and I wore dresses, I'd definitely wear no underwear underneath. Just wearing a blue backless hospital gown thing and the freedom just feels unbelievable!
I didn't get sent home today which sucks a bit but I guess it is rather nice here even if it is really boring. I've been borrowing Lance Armstrongs heart it seems, my resting heart-rate has been down around 40-50bpm. I doubt any of the sedatives have anything to do with it... I had a camera go down into mah bellayy today, apparantly its all inflamed and shit. Presumably from all the getting sick I was doing while waiting to be seen in the hospital. It was gas though talking to the doctors there. They were great craic altogether, one was going on about his love for karaoke and was asking me basically for ways to download youtuube videos. He then went on to ask was Ireland in asia. lul. The other doc was asking me about guiness and why don't I drink it. Then he sprayed my mouth to numb it, I nearly inhaled the spray though (well I did a little) but it mainly just numbed my mouth and throat. Then came the blessed morphine-related injection that I never got to experience thanks to the next 2 injections of sleeping sauce. Next memory was waking up, very weird experience; I'd never been put under before.
So this leaves me now sitting in my hospital bed at 10pm, the others were let out earlier. I'm still in because of my stomach. Should be out tomorrow morning. I was waiting for the internet dongle which just arrived so I'll slap this bad boy online now. Peace.

I've never been so loved.
Tonight's Karaoke
(Sunday) As far as Chinese Karaoke goes, it's about 2 stars. It was even more awful 2 nights ago when I was feeling like crap and trying to get some rest but had to stay up for hours until it finished.
I have a throat infection and had a temperature but I think that might be gone (it's hard to tell when you're on panadol the whole time), must be something I picked up from the kids. Took the day off school on friday and went to the doctor. Took 3 hours between waiting, getting seen, more waiting, paying, blood sample and getting the drugz. Sucks being sick. Missed out on climbing ngong hills this weekend, most people opted out on that anyways though. I also missed out on carnivore restaurant, it's a very well reputed restaurant seemingly but it's all about getting weird meat in that place so my veggie bones weren't really that bothered. Apparently they all had really really weird dreams afterwards, not good weird though, more like nightmares.
Got some lovely notes from the kids which they had given to the others to give to me. I think they must have thought I was dying or something. One was some sort of song or poem or something from one of the girls saying how she loves me so much. I'll type it out as written.

Them is stealthy baboons, baboons are actually kinda whatever over here, nearly pests.
and this
I started watching arrested development, it has it's moments. I also found entourage on one of the lad's portable harddrives and started watching that, it's way better than arrested development. Hope I feel up for school tomorrow morning, don't feel the most fit for school at the moment though... We'll see in the morning... (I won't be posting this til after school tomorrow so I presume I'll know if I've gone to school monday or not by then)
So I went to school today (monday). Felt like shit for most of the morning but pulled through and made it through the day. Some of the kids were telling me during P.E today that one of the boys in the class was crying because I wasn't there on friday, which I had heard from the volunteers but hadn't really believed that that had been the actual reason.
I don't know if I have ever linked this song so here goes:

The weekend before this one we went to Lake Naivasha in the National Park for the weekend. It was chillaxed but I was feeling bollixed (it was then when I started feeling shit). In the National Park I saw a donkeys dick and a gazelle squatting to try shit. I also saw some other stuff such as this.

Fooootballll, foootballll, I lovveee foootballll.
^in the voice of Jamooney.
Tomorrow is the big match between the suas volunteers and the teachers in this primary school. Should be great old fun. Apparently the kids lap it up and just go ape-shit when goals are scored. We have a bunch of stuff planned that the kids and teachers have no idea about, we're going to teach the kids some chants before the game and since it's just boys playing football the suas girls are going to get the crowd going and have those empty huge water dispenser bottles to use as drums. There's loads of facepaint too and if people have free classes they're going to get the kids to make flags. I'll hopefully get some nice pics for my DOCS, i.e you goys ;). The teachers are probably going to hockey us since they're actually very good but we're all thinking that so long as we win the hearts of the crowd we'll be happy out.
Got my summer zam results. Failed one subject but somehow miraculously got 37% in it. Everybody must have done shit or something so he marked easy, I barely answered 50% of the paper and nearly all of that was answered incredibly poorly. Anyways It doesn't matter as I can compensate 37% and got a 2.1 overall. Scraped it but still a 2.1! Delllirrah.
Last week in school they had midterm exams so I was being the big invigilator prick. Anyways it meant all of us were correcting loads of exams. In maths I came across this gem of an answer from one of my kids.
[Okay I can't upload pictures for some reason on this dongle]
I was tempted to give the marks for it but figured the actual maths teacher might not like me giving out marks to people just because they made me laugh, especially when it was something like this where it was probably an honest attempt at answering the question.

Started writing this yesterday and didn't have the dongle so I'm posting this now.
The match was fucking class. We went 2-0 up in the start of the first half but at full time it was 2-2, after extra time it was penalties and unfortunately we lost that. We had a few misses but I kicked the game losing miss, hit the post! There was no option really I had to go left because the kids were too close on the right and I didn't want to hit one. Not that they'd care, they're hard as nails, it just would have meant it was a miss. Lulz.
I should mention that the goals are tiny so it's not really much room for aiming.
When we scored our goals during the game the kids went ape-shit as expected. hundreds of them swarmed the pitch, it was such a laugh. They'd all want high fives and to shake hands or touch anyone on our team, and the school choir (the cool kids in the school) did a real good job of organising the kids and beating the drums. We had 2 of the kids on our team since we only had 6 players and the teachers had like 10 and it was going to be 8 a side. The goalie was about a 10 year old from grade 4 (it goes from 1-8) and the other was the school football team captain. The 2 of them brought the team's average ability shooting up, they were deadly. I'll try get a picture of the lads with one of them and slot it up here sometime. Maybe later than sooner since I can't upload stuff.
Anyways, better peace on out since I stink and need to shower and shtuff.
